The Two Phase Flow Group (2PFG) develops research in multi-phase flow. It is an association of
faculty members, technical staff, graduates and undergraduate students with common interests
in multi-phase flows. The group is housed at the Energy Department from the Mechanical
Engineering Faculty of UNICAMP with research interests spanning from fundamental to applied
areas in: gas-liquid, solid-liquid and liquid-liquid two-phase mixtures as well as in single
phase flows. The group has indoor and outdoor experimental facilities including a
two-phase horizontal and vertical looping 30 meters long,a cfd-lab, an electronic lab, a
machine shop and the administrative support by CEPETRO. The financial grants
are primarily from PETROBRAS through research contracts in oil production. It
also receives financial support from FINEP, CAPES and CNPq. The 2PFG offers a
rare opportunity to work in an environment which develops analytical, numerical
and experimental research at the same time. We believe this qualifies the group
as few others in the academic field to develop you carreer as undergraduate
student or your scientific carreer enrolling at the master or doctorate
program at the Mechanical Engineering Graduate School.
